Sports2Win is a great place to chat to friends and have fun but it's important to stay safe too.

Create a safe profile

• Don’t let peer pressure or what other people are doing on Sports2Win push you into doing something you’re not comfortable with. Just because other people post their mobile phone number or birthday, doesn’t mean you have to.
• Use a nick-name rather than your real name.
• Don’t discuss personal things about yourself or your family.
• Don’t give out your address, phone number, or school name.
• Use a cartoon picture for your profile rather than one of yourself.
• Don’t tell anyone your password.
• Use a strong password that is not easy to guess - if possible include both letters and numbers.
• Change the security settings on your profile so only your friends can see it. By default, we set it so that only your friends can see your profile. Be guarded about who you let join your friends list.
• Set up a separate email account that doesn’t use your real name and use that to register and receive mail from the site. That way if you want to shut down your connection, you can simply stop using that mail account. This is very simple and quick to do using such providers as Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail. General advice for safe surfing

• Don't add anyone you don't know to your friend list.
• Tell someone you trust if you receive nasty messages – you can save them to show this person.
• Don't arrange to meet someone that you’ve met online – they may not be who they say they are.
• What goes online stays online. Don’t say anything or publish pictures that might cause you embarrassment later. As a general rule, if you wouldn’t say it to your boss or your grandmother, don’t say it online.

What to do if you’re being bullied or do not trust someone online?

• Block communication with the person
• Do not read messages from them. You can delete them if you wish, but it is better to keep them to show to a friend or trusted adult.
• Talk to a friend or trusted adult about the problem.
• Contact us by sending a message to here
• Report the user to us by clicking the 'Report This User' link which can be found on their profile page.
